Stallhof or Stall Courtyard was the medieval gathering point for knightly tournaments. Today it's used for cultural events and during Christmas a beautiful market springs up there. The Procession of Princes, on the outer side of Stallhof, is a 101-meter-long mural that represents the history of the Wettins, Saxony's ruling family. It was originally made as a mural, but the paint started fading because of weather conditions. So it was transferred to Meissen porcelain tiles to preserve it. More than 24,000 tiles are used.
