Anyone up for a treat? Dos Palillos is the place. I love it! Spanish tapas (so they say), but the influence is Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese... An amazing combination of flavours, textures, and exquisite ingredients!
The chef and owner, Albert Raurich, former chef de cuisine at El Bulli for 11 years, is slightly insane. I am not lying, you can check his bio at their web page. The restaurant has two areas: the Asian bar and the tapas bar.
At the Asian bar, which has an open kitchen, the gastronomic selection is a tasting menu. At lunchtime you can also eat "à la carte" or a "lunch menu" - seize the opportunity! Book in advance is necessary, one week should be enough. At the tapas bar, the selection is always "à la carte", and bookings are not accepted. // Little known: Albert's Asian inspiration is influenced by his Japanese wife, Tamae Imachi, the sommelier at Dos Palillos.
