This is a wonderful trattoria offering a well-prepared, simple, rustic Italian kitchen, the best of its kind in Copenhagen. The food is excellent and the menu is simple and tasty - like fettucine, poached cod, tiramisu. Only the best is included. And the feeling around the place is cosy and informal, making you feel right at home. When the weather is nice they set up tables on the outside square, and the atmosphere here is just beautiful. Pricewise it's good value.
What do you do with an old pub lined with slot machines, bar, and an original drinking clientele? Turn it into a pasta pub, of course. At least, that’s what owner David Fischer did with this establishment, set to cure any carb-crazy patrons in Copenhagen.
With only five tables and a 20-person capacity, the restaurant rides solely on the basis of Fischer’s expertise. After working as the head chef in some of Copenhagen’s best restaurants and spending three years at the pasta station in Rome’s only three-star Michelin establishment, La Pergo, Fischer crafts pasta with only the freshest ingredients and a meticulous cooking knowledge. Dishes like the tortellini with savory stuffed pig or pasta smothered in peber and cheese might deliver Italian grandmothers down south a shock.
