Momofuku noodle bar accepts no reservations so go for an early weekday lunch (I went at 11.50 for 12 noon opening and was first of just several people although it did fill up later), or early dinner in order to avoid queues. The pork belly buns and shiitake buns are both amazing, as are the smoked chicken wings (the meat literally falls off the bone). Husband had the ginger scallion noodles which he called 'best noodles ever' and has since recreated at home, while I had the Momofuku ramen. Although the broth is better at Ippudo, I preferred the noodles here as they were chewier. With regards to the pork buns, these are fattier and are served with hoisin sauce, whereas the Ippudo ones have leaner meat and are spicier. The overall experience is far better here than at Ippudo in my opinion and I would definitely visit again.
