Character

The 1909 building, originally a grand banqueting hall, is extraordinary: a whitewashed version of the Taj Mahal covered in Christmas tree lights. The ultra-lux interiors are intended to attract the super-rich.

The hotel is located in the tattier part of town, opposite the main railway station, though “tatty” is relative in pristine Copenhagen.
