When it comes to finding stylish places to eat along the King’s Road, diners can be a little spoilt for choice. But one place that’s definitely not worth walking past is Sushinho – a trendy, stylish establishment that serves up sushi with a twist. The atmosphere is electric, trendy and the food is an interesting fusion of Japanese-Brazilian cuisine. The chef takes the finer flavours of both nations and combines them in a fascinating and flavoursome way. Then of course, there are the superb cocktails to accompany a great night out in a trendy part of town – whether it’s Chelsea or Shoreditch.
An Fascinating Fusion of Flavours
This interesting fusion of flavours works rather well and could be seen as a natural development, after all the largest Japanese population outside of Japan is well ensconced in São Paulo, Brazil. But it’s not just the food that’s brilliant, the cocktails and décor of the restaurant are both deliciously chic. The orient meets the Kings Road in a charming way with lots of dark wood and bamboo walls with exposed brickwork making it a cosy Asian setting that offers the warm welcome of Brazil.
There’s lots to attract both diners and drinkers to the palm decorated restaurant – on Mondays sushi platters are offered to eager people for half price, a tempting option that has people queuing at the door. The cocktails served up in the basement keep the bar busy too, Sushinho is an extremely popular haunt for the trend setters both along the Kings Road and in thriving, bustling Shoreditch.
In the Basement
For those who are looking for a stylish watering hole, the basement at Sushinho’s offers some of the best cocktails in town. The selection of Latin/Asian inspired creations have earned the restaurant quite a reputation, and a very good one at that. On certain nights, there’s live music in the basement too which is definitely worth checking out!
