LOCATION

Puerto Escondido is a small port and tourist center in the municipality of San Pedro Mixtepec Distrito 22 in the Mexican state of Oaxaca, 180 miles from the state capital. Being one of the top surfing destinations, Zicatela Beach is a must for both beginners to pros (major surfing competitions are held here). A large lagoon area to the west of the town sees many fishing and birdwatching enthusiasts on its shores. Puerto Escondido International Airport is about 12 miles from the resort.
