Spinach & Agushi

Frankly, food in London is giving me hard time. Sure, there are plenty of amazing expensive places. But the stuff I’m all about, cheap and legit – not so easy. Street food usually means hipsters cooking for bankers, hole-in-the-walls are often tourist traps or simply crap food. So where’s the good stuff? I guess it will take time, local guides and trial & error!

One place that I do love is Spinach & Agushi, a stand serving up Ghanaian food at Exmouth Market. Once again, the lunchtime crowd skews toward suits, but let’s not be judgmental here. The peanut chicken is awesome! Super tender chicken floats in a creamy and nutty sauce. Just look at those colors! The accompanying Jollof Rice perfectly soaks up all the flavors. You can also pick between rotating fish and lamb stews, which are all great. Plus, they don’t eff around with their chili sauce - shit is seriously spicy!
