This is the largest marble, traditionally built Hindu temple outside India and it is magical. the exterior architecture is completely unexpected in the London landscape and the intricate carvings inside are breathtaking. It is free to visit and open 9am to 6pm daily. Be sure to respect the importance of this as a holy place and adhere to the simple rules including the dress code (no shorts or skirts above knee level). You can visit the extensive and interesting exhibition on the ground floor on 'Understanding Hinduism' which is £2.00 entry fee.
