Scoop

Scoop is an open air amphitheatre on the Southbank of the river Thames between Tower Bridge and London Bridge. From 5th July to 5th August there is FREE theatre. The Oresteia Trilogy (comprising of The Trojan Horse, Agamennon, and Orestes)on thursday to sunday evenings starting at 6.30pm (and if you see all 3 parts on the same evening it will finish at 10.30pm, each part being 1 hour long). It is a dramatic journey through chaos and war and then peace and justice in Greece leading to the harmony which inspired the Olympic ideals. It is a combination of serious, comedic and musical drama. Then from the 8th to the 31st of August on wednesday, thursday and friday lunchtimes (12.30pm) and evenings (6.30pm) there is a variety of free music concerts from musical theatre, mens choirs, jazz show tunes, there is a wide variety suiting many musical tastes.
