This is a small restaurant in the Lower East Side that bills itself as retaining 'the industrial feel of London's original Covent Garden marketplace'. Not quite, but despite the Saturday night noise, cramped seating and chaotic service (thankfully friendly), the chefs use locally sourced ingredients and so the food is well worth the effort of getting to Orchard Street.
Five of us shared some starters between us (the celery root pot pie was incredible), then each ordered mains (I had the Montauk diver scallops, golden beet and sweet potato mash) and desserts.
