Whenever anyone in London talks about good pub food, The Drapers Arms is always mentioned. I've eaten here twice and enjoy both the beautiful spacious interior and the back garden.
Service is both friendly and relaxed, while the menu emphasises seasonal cooking. On my last visit I had a salad of beetroot, sorrel, chicory and soft boiled egg, followed by pork & leek sausages, bashed neeps, turnips tops and crispy shallots. Be warned, the portions are large and hearty!
Next time, I'll go for Sunday lunch with a group of friends to share the slow-cooked Elwy Valley lamb shoulder.
