Held in the old converted train station, his market is absolutely brilliant! It was actually one of the first Farmer's markets in the UK, and is still going strong. It runs every Saturday from early morning, then quietens down and begins to leave at about 3pm. The stalls are a huge range, mostly food from local producers, you can buy groceries such as veg, meat, bread, milk, but also delicacies like truffle cheese, all different types of wine, homemade pasta, chutney, chocolate etc. There are tasters at all of the stalls, and plenty of cafés. A few other stalls selling speciality items as well. All the stall owners are very friendly and knowledgeable, and it's my favourite way to while away a lazy Saturday morning!
