Vintage Désir

It still amazes me how cheap this place is. With prices like these, you'd expect the shopping experience to be really unpleasant (sifting through moth-eaten piles of clothes) or the clothes to be really poor quality or fakes. But neither. In this top independent shopping street of Paris, this little shop sells beautiful secondhand and vintage clothing and accessories, it's laid out well so easy to find what you're looking for/browse around. There is one little changing room, and there's often a queue, but people are patient and friendly. My theory (about the amazingly cheap prices) is that French people aren't so hooked on original vintage fashion as the Brits (who'll pay £30 for a second hand top) and therefore its' value is lower. Anyway, I've never been dissappointed by this shop and still own all the items I ever bought here!
