The oldest building left standing in Australia, built in 1793. The family home of General John Macarthur, his wife Elizabeth and several children. Member of the NSW Military Corp, leader of the famed Rum Rebellion and founder of Australia's first major export - the wool industry. Beautifully preserved and refurnished to celebrate early Australian history. Come by Ferry or train to Parramatta where the waters meet and the eels play.
