The Modernist building Can Prunera, built between 1909 and 1911 and a beautiful example of architecture in the heart of Mallorca’s Tramuntana Mountains, with mural paintings in polychrome reliefs, glasswork, furniture and elements such as the spectacular staircase and façade, has been turned into a museum located in the town of Sóller. Can Prunera holds a permanent Contemporary art collection and temporary exhibition halls, where it has a specialised art library that displays books illustrated by Joan Miró. Its gardens also serve as a stage for concerts and other cultural event.
