Note

Son Marroig, close to the Monestir de Miramar, is a beautiful estate that once belonged to the Archduke of Austria, Luis Salvador of Habsburg. Beautiful gardens and pavilions, greenhouses, grottoes, pagodas and balconies overlook the cliffs and the mediterranean sea. The imposing landscape and aesthetic beauty inmidst this nature make it an exceptional site.

Son Marroig is now home to the Archduke Luis Salvador Museum, exhibiting the Archduke’s items, collections of ceramics and nineteenth-century Majorcan paintings. It has also been the venue for the International Chamber Music Festival of Deià since 1978.
