Les Pobles, is where the Mas Miró farm is located. The Centre Miró is devoted to interpreting the relationship between Joan Miró –the painter and his works– and Mont-roig. Its basic elements are the facsimile reproductions of Miró’s paintings of Mont-roig. Joan Miró first came to Mont-roig in 1911 at the age of eighteen. Miró stayed in Mont-roig most of the year. Later, in the nineteen-twenties and thirties, he alternated between Mont-roig and Paris. The Centre Miró is housed in the town’s old church.
