Copenhagen Zoo

Opened in 1859, it's one of the oldest zoos in Europe. The Danes excel at displaying animals too - they do with great care and of course not forgetting the humble attention to design. Instead of usual cages you will find pieces of natural habitats cloned here for the greatest comfort of animals. Don't miss the Elephant House. It's designed by acclaimed Norman Foster and will give you a deep intro into the world of these beautiful creatures. A new Arctic house is slated for construction.
