Farina's mission is to bring authentic Northern Italian food from the region of Liguria to America. Since they opened in 2007 they've done just that with fresh ingredients, inspired Italian cooking, and authentic recipes to bring the full Ligurian experience to San Francisco. "Farina doesn't just approximate the cuisine of Liguria, it's the real thing." Their pizza is to die for, made in the Neapolitan style (light crust and authentic ingredients). The pesto is highly recommended, the bread is freshly baked, and there is a large selection of wines from all around Italy. Can you go wrong here? Never. Little known: a favorite among the locals is a $5 fried pizza, called montanara.
