The Somerset House is a very beautiful Neoclassical building in the center of London: there is one access on the Strand and the other on the Victoria Embankment.
The house is nowadays a center for art and culture. It is a very interesting place to visit: the palace itself is worth seeing and it host a variety of exhibitions free and paid. There is a big and pleasant inner courtyard with fountains, a terrace on the Thames, a small bookshop, restaurants, cafe and a very good deli (Tom's Deli).
In winter the courtyard becomes an ice rink.
Lots of stuff to do and enjoy in a place suited for everyone.
