A visit to the British Museum is simply unmissable for everybody, either if you are alone, with your partner, family or a group of people. The new Great Court is a great piece of architecture and the collection is really exceptional. You can browse the collection following the order of the rooms, or selecting 10 masterpieces as highlighted in a folder.
My suggestion is to read the amazing book "A History of the World in 100 Objects" by MacGregor and then explore the museum guided by the book. It would keep you a great company even if you are alone.
The "MacGregor objects" are not highlighted in the Museum and there is no bespoke map, so the best thing is to organize the visit in advance through the website!
