Take in the splendid view of the postcard-perfect panorama of the Esplanade, Marina Bay Sands and The Float @ Marina Bay while you dine at ME@OUE, courtesy of its floor-to-ceiling glass panels. The restaurant's ethereal interior, designed by Japanese design firm Super Potato and inspired by what the Japanese call "komorebi" - the effect of sunlight passing through leaves - is pretty spectacular too.
The restaurant, managed by Food Junction, is a collaboration between Overseas Union Enterprise (OUE) and Mediacorp, so your dining experience might even include eye candy - local celebrities are sometimes invited for meals.
The Japanese, French and Chinese menus feature dishes that look like mini works of art. If you feel like indulging, try the signatures: Saga Wagyu Shabu Shabu with Kyoto Vegetables ($138++ per 120g portion), made using Grade A5 Wagyu beef, or the Saint-Jacques "Provencales" - seared scallops with artichoke barigoule, white wine and shallot sauce ($52++).
