Cambodia is not known as a country for vegetarians however K’Nyay (Ginger) Restaurant is one place that serves up tasty Khmer and Vegan Cuisine. For those who may have visited in the past, the restaurant moved and reopened on 1 October 2013 in a traditional wooden house built in the 1930s (The Terrance on 95 just off Monivong Boulevard). There is a plant-filled courtyard and the restaurant is located on the first floor with a colonial veranda. The menu is extensive and the food is not only healthy but it tastes good too. Most main dishes have an option to have fish, seafood or meat or a vegetable or tofu version. The price is moderate for good quality food and main dishes will set you back around $5-6 US. Smoothies are delicious and we recommend you save space for the yummy desserts. K’nyay is open Tuesday – Friday 12 – 9pm, Saturday and Sunday 7am – 9pm, and closed on Mondays.
