Phnom Penh Post Office was constructed in the 1890s during the French colonization of Cambodia. The building has gone through many renovations and restorations but it still preserves its French colonial architecture charm. Today it continues to operate as the central post office of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications. The post office opens from 7:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday with two hours lunch breakfast from 11am to 1pm. The post office is one of a few well preserved French colonial buildings in the area, and is particularly good for capturing on film early in the morning.
