During the Golden Era of the Khmer Kingdom sculpture, art, and architecture flourished and a massive construction project united and mobilised the people. A thousand years later the Angkor civilization still amazes people and impacts on current Cambodian art. Angkor National Museum has eight chronologically ordered galleries of Angkorian artefacts and multi media presentations. The museum is open 8.30am – 6.00pm daily and admission is $12US for foreigners with an additional $2US for cameras. Guides or audio tours (available in eight different languages) may also be organised for an additional fee at the ticket counter.
