Horse riding in Hyde Park

You don't need any riding experience to spend an hour or two riding in Hyde Park and along Rotten Row, the famous bridleway created in the 1730s for riding in central London.

Hyde Park Stables hire out horses and also provide riding lessons, both private and in groups. Hats and boots are provided free of charge, so you don't need to take anything with you.

Many years ago I went on an early morning private ride, and it was a truly memorable experience (probably because I fell off my horse while it was moving very slowly!).

Do book in advance as riding in Hyde Park is popular, particularly at the weekends. Check the website for times and prices.
