Miss Chu, also known as Nahji Chu, is Sydney's queen of rice paper rolls. Born in Luang Prahbang, Laos, Nahji and her family came to Australia as refugees. Having worked in her family's Vietnamese restaurants in Melbourne, Nahji started catering in Sydney and quickly garnered a loyal following.
Her first store in Darlinghurst proved popular and Miss Chu has now expanded to six locations. The Bondi Beach Tuckshop is a laid back haven, perfect for eating away an afternoon.
Miss Chu's Vietnamese food is fresh, healthy and fast. Try the ricepaper rolls she is famous for, followed by a Lemongrass Beef Vermicelli Salad ($13), Wild Rice and Quinoa with Chilli Prawn ($13) or traditional Banh Mi, the Vietnamese salad roll. Wash it down with an iced coconut drink.
