Another Dan Hong special, this pan-Asian diner is three levels of food and wine fun. The food is inventive, exciting and comforting, if not a little tongue in cheek. Grafitti covers the walls and the three-levelled townhouse positively heaves during dinner service.
With cohort, Jowett Yu and his team, Dan has developed dishes such as Sea scallop tostada, green papaya, guacamole and green nahm jim ($16), Jow’s Sweet & Sour lamb ribs ($23) and Crispy pork hock, pink lady apple kimchi, 5 flavour sauce, lettuce and herbs ($35). Desserts here are a must, with “Stoner’s Delight 2.0” ($12) with doughnut ice cream, peanut butter, raspberry jam, candied bacon, potato chips, mars bar slice and banana fritter being the crowd favourite. It's an over the top end to dinner, but a good one to share.
