Bun Cha is street food at its best, and no one does it better than the family who run this very local establishment on the edge of the Old Quarter.
This Northern specialty consists of grilled minced pork patties wrapped in betel leaf and slices of marinated pork belly, which comes served in a broth made of fish sauce. You then get a plate full of fresh herbs and some fresh rice noodles, mix it all together and you are left with what can only be described as heaven in a bowl. Lunch only.
Hot Tip: No need to order when you arrive, just like the best street food in Hanoi, this place serves just one dish, and they will bring it to you when you sit down. But, ask for some spring rolls ('nem' in Vietnamese) and these tasty morsels can be added in to the mixtures for some extra crunch and flavour.
