Note

Take a peek inside this beautiful historical site established in 1836 by Queen Mary II of Portugal. Originally an ancient Franciscan convent, it's now home to a vast collection of paintings and sculptures.

The collection is constantly growing, as every year the faculty selects two of the best pieces done by students. The collection includes about 1,500 objects, but not all are on display due to lack of space, and some pieces actually belong to famed Portuguese artist Soares dos Reis.
