From a culture at least 3,000 years old, Khmer cuisine is one of the oldest cuisines in the world. However, contemporary Khmer food has also been influenced by Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, and French techniques to form a style and flavour profile that is uniquely Cambodian.
For visitors who love food and new flavours, a Cambodian cooking class is something not to be missed. Generally classes will include a market tour that will introduce you to many of the spices and ingredients used in Cambodian cuisine, followed by step by step instruction from a chef on how to prepare the food.
Finally, you have the chance to eat your culinary masterpieces! Om nom nom indeed!
Half day classes cost around $15 - 22 USD.
