Note

The Tágides are poetic figures mentioned by the most important poet in Portuguese history: Luís Vaz de Camões. They represent nymphs surrounding a "falua", the traditional boat of the Tagus river. The figures are linked to the Greek mythology representing goddesses of water, which were sculpted in marble by João Cutileiro, a famous Portuguese contemporary artist.
