This exotic little garden was first planted in 1859 and contains plants from several parts of the world, including several different species trees. Since the garden was planted at the same time as the creation of Lisbon's water distribution network, you'll also find the subterranean Museu da Água here beneath the garden.
Within the garden there's a restaurant, two kiosk esplanades, a playground for children, tables, and public restrooms. On Saturdays there's also an eco-friendly market.
